PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helical groove pump of high efficiency and high durability, of a simple structure, small and compact, and good in manufacturability. SOLUTION: The helical groove pump is provided with a rotary disk 16 rotating in a handling liquid, a doughnut shaped fixed disk 17 on which the rotary disk 16 slides, a helical groove provided on a sliding surface of either of the rotary disk 16 and the fixed disk 17. The helical groove 17a is provided to generate high pressure in an outer diameter side with rotation of the rotary disk 16 and a suction port 17o of a pump part is provided on an inner diameter part of the fixed disk 17. Since the helical groove pump is constructed to provide either of the rotary disk or the fixed disk with the helical groove and to generate pumping action by the rotary disk and the fixed disk, the helical groove pump is of high efficiency and high durability, of a simple structure, small and compact, and good in manufacturability.
