METHOD FOR PRODUCING PURIFIED ACETOPHENONE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing purified acetophenone, by which the economically and operationally advantageous purified acetophenone satisfying the quality requirements of the acetophenone can be produced without needing the phenol extraction treatment of crude acetophenone with an alkali. SOLUTION: This method for producing the purified acetophenone from the crude acetophenone by-produced from a cumene method phenol production process and having a phenol content of 5 to 30 wt. % is characterized by introducing and distilling the crude acetophenone into an acetophenone purification distillation tower having a reduced bottom pressure of≤13.33 kPa without carrying out a phenol extraction treatment.
