PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual value managing method for suppressing trouble between a customer and a game hall caused by a residual value after an adjustment period elapses, while evading complicating a job, etc., and also to provide its system. SOLUTION: Game media obtained as the result of a game by the player and the residual value which is obtained when the game media are not lent though money is thrown into a game media lending machine are recorded by association in an identification medium owned by the player. The residual value after the adjustment period elapses is recorded by conversion into the game media. When the value is exchanged for a gift, exchange for the gift is performed under a condition being more advantageous than that of the game medium which is obtained as the result of the game, such as the exchange for the gift by equivalent conversion.
