<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat dissipation efficiency of a transformer whose leakage inductance is used as the L component of a resonant circuit in a resonant type switching power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The resonant type switching power supply is provided with a transformer 20 to transmit a primary-side electric power to a secondary side that is provided with a primary winding 21 and a secondary winding 22. The primary winding 21 is housed in an internal area close to the outer surface 25 of the transformer 20. The transformer 20 is fitted in a manner that its outer surface 25 is in contact with a heat sink 40.
