摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the time of slippage termination of a belt with respect to a control device for optimizing clamping force for setting torque capacity of a continuously variable transmission by detecting slipping. SOLUTION: In the control device of a continuously variable transmission, an estimated change gear ratio is obtained on the basis of a past change gear ratio. Based on the estimated change gear ratio, slipping termination is detected. The control device is provided with a gear change command value limiting means (step S103) for limiting a change of a gear change command value when occurrence of slipping is judged. When the slipping judgment is made, a change of the gear change command value is limited to fix the value at the point of time when the judgment is made. By so doing, fluctuation of the change gear ratio caused by a change of the gear change command value is prevented, which improves accuracy of prior estimation of a gear change ratio based on a gear change ratio. As a result, accuracy of the slipping termination judgement based upon comparison between the estimated change gear ratio and the actual change gear ratio is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
