PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a porous molded product with a porous structure of an unsymmetrical pattern that has a precise pore structure at the outermost surface and a rough void structure in the inside. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the porous molded product comprises a step of melt-blending a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin and a pore forming agent and then molding it, a step of dipping the thermoplastic resin molding into a solvent S<SB>1</SB>capable of dissolving the thermoplastic resin and swelling the molding, and a step of removing the molding from the solvent S<SB>1</SB>and then dipping the molding into a solvent S<SB>2</SB>that can not dissolve the resin but can dissolve the pore forming agent. According to the method, the porous molded product with the porous structure of the unsymmetrical pattern that has the precise pore structure at the surface and the rough void structure in the inside is obtained.
