PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume knob wherein volume can be checked easily by viewing. SOLUTION: The volume knob 3 which is rotatably arranged in a casing of a disk drive and partially exposed to the outside from an operation port 2 of a front panel 1a which is arranged at a front surface of the casing is provided with a circular knob main part 3a. A reference recessed trench 9 is formed at a volume neutral position P of an outer peripheral surface of the knob main part 3a. Paint is performed to a left half-body 3A or a right half-body 3B of the knob main part 3a by making a crossing virtual line S which passes a rotation axial center O of the knob main part 3a from the reference recessed trench 9 as an axis of symmetry.
