PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push button switch capable of reducing thickness, having a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: The push button switch comprises a resin-made housing 2 having a box-shaped housing part 3 of which, one side is opened; a metal terminal member 5, embedded in the bottom of the housing 2 of which one end protrudes into the housing part 3 and forms fixed contacts 6a, 6b; external terminals 5a, 5b connected to the other end of the metal terminal member 5, surface mounting capably led out to the outside of the housing 2; a movable contact 7 arranged in the housing part 3 opposed to the fixed contacts 6a, 6b; and a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet 8 which covers the periphery of the opening. Holes 2e communicating with the lower surface of the metal terminal member 5 is provided at the bottom plate of the housing 2, and protrusions 2d which are taller than the thickness of the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet 8 are formed at the outside of the opening, and the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet 8 is pasted inside of the protrusions 2d.
