PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition timing control device for an internal combustion engine for controlling a proper ignition timing with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The ignition timing control device comprises an operated condition detecting means 51 for detecting the operated condition of the internal combustion engine, a reference combustion rate calculating means 52 for calculating a preset reference combustion rate in accordance with the operated condition, a reference crank angle calculating means 53 for calculating a crank angle at reaching the reference combustion rate, as a reference crank angle, combustion period calculating means 54, 55, 56 for calculating the combustion period from starting ignition to reaching the reference crank angle, and an ignition timing calculating means 57 for setting a timing that advances the combustion period from the reference crank angle, as an ignition timing.
