PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable polyester resin composition that has improvements in moldability such as prevention of fusion bondability, enhancement of mold releasability, shortening of molding cycle time, continuous resin pelletization or the like in the case of utilizing a molding method such as film molding, injection molding, extrusion, spinning or the like and has excellent environmental compatibility and to provide a process for producing the biodegradable polyester resin composition. SOLUTION: A biodegradable resin composition being a mixture of 100 pts.wt. of (A) a PHBH having an end temperature Tm1 on a crystalline melting curve of a DSC and 0.1-30 pts.wt. of (B) a PHA having a top temperature Tm2 on the crystalline melting curve of the DSC wherein Tm2>Tm1 is melted and kneaded at a temperature of not more than Tm1 by a twin screw extruder to produce the biodegradable resin composition (C).
