PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal orientation-controlling agent excellent in heat resistance and electric properties and readily vertically carrying out orientation control of a liquid crystalline material in a liquid crystal element such as liquid display and to provide a method for orientating the liquid crystalline molecule and to provide a liquid crystalline composition and the liquid crystal element using those.
