<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly print a poster without consuming a large volume of memory on a host side, in the printing system provided with an engine allowing printing with a plurality of resolutions while changing laser irradiation timing. <P>SOLUTION: This host side printing system is provided with a means for generating a raster drawing data before pseud-division linked with an application, by an an effective printing area and an assigned division number based on a resolution of a level lower than a printing assigned resolution, and a means for dividing the generated raster drawing data into page data of low level corresponding to the division number to be worked and to be transferred thereafter to a printer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
