<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give flexibility to rules for creating a file name with which printing data converted into a file format is transfered to a file server and managed, and to facilitate user customization for file name creation rules. <P>SOLUTION: A print server 10 outputs a print job to a printer based on a request transmitted by a printing request issuing part 21 of a client terminal 20, converts the print job into a file, and transmits it to the file server 30 for its storage and management. An attribute information extracting part 16 extracts various kinds of attribute information contained in the printing request received at a printing request receiving part 13 based on an attribute information list 50 of a system information storage part 18. A file name creating part 15 obtains prescribed file name creation rules corresponding to an output printer from a file name creation rules list 60 and automatically creates a file name with which the file is sent to the file server 30 using the extracted attribute information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
