<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacture method of a polarizing film which is capable of uniformly dispersing pigment into a film and causes no thermal degradation of the pigment in manufacture of the polarizing film using thermoplastic norbornene resin. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacture method of polarizing film comprises a process of forming a film by casting a solution prepared by dissolving or dispersing the thermoplastic norbornene resin and the dichroic pigment in a solvent on a substrate, drying the film and stripping the obtained resin film from the substrate and a process of stretching the resin film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
