PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image composing device and its method for easily and inexpensively obtaining a composite image by adopting the shadow of lights or reflected lights projected to merchandise such as a housing to the image of the merchandise such as a housing. SOLUTION: This image composing device is provided with a photographing means 2 for photographing the model of a real thing with the shadow of lights or reflected lights projected on the model, a photographed data storing part 31 for storing the photographed data of the photographed model, an image display means 4 for displaying the stored photographed data as an image, a component image data storing part 32 for storing the component image data of a component image to be composed with the displayed image, an image composing means 33 for composing the stored component image data with the image of the model displayed by the image display means 4 as the component image, and a printing means 5 for printing the composed image.
