PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system of an information display which enables a passenger to operate the information display, without losing the safety even during running, thus suppressing the deterioration of the convenience. SOLUTION: When a forbidden switch SW of a car navigator 1 whose operation is forbidden during travel of a vehicle is depressed while traveling of the vehicle, a hands-free unit 20 is set on to start the conversation between a passenger of the vehicle and an operator in a center 40 through a portable telephone 30. The vehicle passenger requests the operator in the center 40 to form display data corresponding to a desired function. Upon receipt of the request to form display data corresponding to the desired function, the operator in the center 40 forms and sends display data of requested contents to the vehicle, and the vehicle side receives and executes the display data to display desired display information on an information display.
