PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar-shaped member bending machine having a chucking device to chuck an end part of a bar-shaped member such as a tube and a booster device free circuit capable of enhancing the yield by avoiding interference during the bending using pressing dies stopping their operation and effectively utilizing the bar-shaped member. SOLUTION: A booster device having driving means 33a, 33b and 33c to drive each of a plurality of pressing dies is provided on a bending mechanism. When a chucking device is touched with the pressing dies not engaged in bending operation when bending a bar-shaped member chucked by the chucking device, a free circuit to permit free movement of the pressing dies by the chucking device is assembled with a hydraulic circuit.
