PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air spring capable of reducing the spring constant and enhancing the ride quality of a vehicle while a piston comprises a bottomed cylindrical part and a body cylindrical part. SOLUTION: One end part 1A in the axial direction of a cylindrical rubber membrane 1 and the other end part 1B thereof are connected to an upper plate 2 and a piston 3, respectively, and the piston 3 comprises an inner bottomed cylindrical part 8 to connect the cylindrical rubber membrane 1 to an opened upper end part 6, and an outer body cylindrical part 7 which surrounds the bottomed cylindrical part 8 with a space therebetween with a cylindrical rubber membrane part 9 covered thereon in an inverted manner. A downwardly tapered outer circumferential surface 7B is formed on the body cylindrical part 7, the cylindrical rubber membrane part 9 is covered on the downwardly tapered outer circumferential surface 7B in an inverted manner as the piston 3 is elevated, and separated from the downwardly outer circumferential surface 7B in a raising manner as the piston 3 is lowered. An outer circumferential surface of a lower end part 20 of the body cylindrical part 7 is formed in a downwardly tapered outer circumferential surface 7A continuous to the downwardly tapered outer circumferential surface 7B.
