PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved digital video image data processing method and digital video imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The digital video image data processing method includes providing a digital video imaging apparatus 12 configured to acquire image data 14, and reading the image data 14 corresponding to a plurality of rolling frames 16 from an image sensor 40 of the digital video imaging apparatus 12, reading of the image data 14 corresponding to each frame of the rolling frames 16 is respectively forming a plurality of desired frames containing the image data 14 at a plurality of common time points with reading including respectively reading a plurality of different portions of the image sensor 40 at a plurality of different time points, and forming includes using the image data from the plurality of rolling frames 16 to form each of the desired frames.
