PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit for vehicle which is deterred from increasing in cost and can be mounted on a vehicle in a small space by making it easy to see an image by reducing a shift in position of the image and variation in distortion of the image in spite of a shift in position of driver's eyes. SOLUTION: A light source 2 and an LCD 3 are provided as an information display means of emitting an image in the form of light, and a projection lens 4 on which lights from the light source 2 and LCD 3 are made incident and which refracts and projects them is provided as an imaging optical system; and a plane mirror 5 reflecting the light projected from the imaging optical system is provided and a diffusion screen 6 is provided as a screen on which the light reflected by the nearly plane mirror body is imaged.
