PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having a well-balanced back coat layer excellent essentially in adhesiveness, brittleness, scratch resistances in dry-time and wet-time. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material including at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing hydrophilic colloid on one side of a support and a back coat layer on the other side, the back coat layer consists of three or more consecutive hydrophilic layers having a thickness of≥0.3μm per layer and containing hydrophilic colloid, the elastic modulus of a hydrophilic layer having the lowest elastic modulus among the above hydrophilic layers is≤3,200 N/mm<SP>2</SP>, the elastic modulus of a hydrophilic layer having the highest elastic modulus is≥3,900 N/mm<SP>2</SP>, and the difference in elastic modulus between the hydrophilic layers adjacent to each other is≤1,300 N/mm<SP>2</SP>.
