PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow particle amount calculation method capable of easily researching a suitable amount of the particle corresponding to a tire. SOLUTION: When a tire gas chamber has a predetermined internal pressure and load is applied to it, the hollow particle amount calculation method includes a step for measuring first load, i.e., load that a side wall part can contact a road surface; a step for measuring second load, i.e., load when the side wall part is contacted with the road surface when the internal pressure of the tire gas chamber is 0kPa and load is applied to it; and a step for calculating a hollow particle support load, i.e., the load which should be supported by the hollow particle by reducing the second load from the first load when the internal pressure of the tire gas chamber is reduced.
