The invention relates to an adjustable case (1) which is formed by a stack of elements comprising at least one base (2), at least one cover (3) and a variable number of intermediary elements (4, 5). The inventive case also comprises first and second connection means which are used to connect a lower element to an upper element, such that the case to be opened manually by pivoting the upper element in relation to the lower element around a first or second pivot axis (B, C) which is perpendicular to the mid-plane of the aforementioned elements. According to the invention, each first (second) connection means comprises: a first (second) lower magnet (26, 28; 46, 48; 56, 58) which is borne by the lower element and which comprises an outer face having a first polarity (north); and a first (second) upper magnet (47, 49; 57, 59; 37, 39) which is borne by the upper element and which comprises an outer face having a second polarity (south) opposite to that of the first. Moreover, the lower and upper first (second) magnets are disposed opposite one another along the length of the first (second) pivot axis. |
