The present invention concerns the use of soaps and preferably of Mg-Stearate for increasing the release of pharmaceutically active compounds from matrix-based pharmaceutical dosage forms. The present invention also concern methods for producing fast-release matrix based pharmaceutical dosage forms, wherein the pharmaceutical dosage forms are formulated with soaps and preferably with Mg-Stearate.
