The invention relates to the use of anti-cancer ether phospholipids intended to be concentrated as ultrasonography sciagraphic means in malignant tumors. More especially, the present invention relates to the use of analogous alkylphosphocholines as components of liposomes, which will be specialized in cancer tissues and will allow the diagnosis of neoplasias, primary tumours and metastasis, as well as the follow-up of tumor reduction during therapy. The anti-cancer properties of the ether phospholipids make the sciagraphic materials be suited for use in therapeutic applications.
