A device for controlling a multicylinder aeroengine comprises an electronic control unit with sensors for monitoring the engine status, a first CPU for principal control of all cylinders, a second CPU for auxiliary control of all cylinders, a communication circuit connected to both CPUs, and interfaces for providing the CPUs with signals from the sensors. The control system is multiplexed by a first pathway comprising the first CPU and a second pathway comprising the second CPU, the two CPUs being mutually synchronized to control the ignition timing via the communication circuit. A device for controlling a multicylinder aeroengine comprises an electronic control unit (ECU) with sensors for monitoring the engine status, a first CPU (71) for principal control of all cylinders, a second CPU (72) for auxiliary control of all cylinders, a communication circuit connected to both CPUs, and interfaces (41, 42) for providing the CPUs with signals from the sensors. The control system is multiplexed by a first pathway (A) comprising the first CPU and a second pathway (B) comprising the second CPU, the two CPUs being mutually synchronized to control the ignition timing via the communication circuit.
