The production of porous granules made from sand bound using a binder comprises foaming a slurry composed of sand, hydraulic binder and water with the addition of a foaming agent, crushing after partially hardening, moistening the granules with water, encasing once with a hydraulic binder optionally mixed with sand, and spraying with water before removing the binder.
