PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting a calorific value of a sending fuel gas to easily and surely adjust the calorific value and the burning quality for sending the gas; to provide a device to perform the method; to provide a method for stabilizing the calorific value of the fuel gas from a carburetor; and to provide a gas burning instrument equipped with the device for stabilizing the calorific value. SOLUTION: This method for adjusting the calorific value of the sending fuel gas and the device therefor perform as follows: when the calorific value of the sending fuel gas is high, LNG vaporized gas or LNG is passed through an adsorption/desorption column to make a heavy hydrocarbon to be adsorbed by an adsorbing agent to decrease the calorific value of the sending gas; and when the calorific value of the sending gas is low, LNG-boil off-gas is passed through the adsorption/desorption column to make the adsorbed heavy hydrocarbon to be desorbed to increase the calorific value of the sending fuel gas, thus suppressing the calorific value variation of the sending fuel gas to send out the fuel gas of stable quality. Also the calorific value of the fuel gas is adjusted in the range causing no trouble for burning of the gas burning instrument by passing a part or whole of the gas from the carburetor succeeding to an LNG tank to make a heavy component causing increase of the calorific value to be adsorbed.
