<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case of an impact-type line printer which performs printing using an impact-type print hammer on printing paper with perforations for paper feed, in which sufficient sound insulation effect can be obtained without affecting the operability of the machine and the installation space can be minimized even in the case of using printing paper with a long page length. <P>SOLUTION: In the line printer which performs printing using an impact-type print hammer on printing paper with perforations for paper feed, the case of the line printer comprises a base part for installing a printing mechanism part in which the printing paper can be stored and a cover thereof. A wall dividing the storage space in the base part for storing printing paper before and after printing comprises an adjustable fence.
