<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter with a lock-up clutch capable of restricting interference between a turbine and a pump. <P>SOLUTION: In this torque converter 1 with a lock-up clutch provided with a friction engagement part 43 (a friction material 42, an extension part 12b) for a piston 41 for a lock-up clutch and an input member (a front cover 60, a pump shell 12), the piston 41 is arranged between the front cover 60 and the turbine 20, and the friction engagement part 43 for connecting the piston 41 to a peripheral side of the turbine 20 is provided in the turbine 20, to which the piston 41 is to be connected.
