PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the generated magnetic field while a focusing coil of a klystron is in a steady state (when hot) by reducing the adverse effect caused by ripples remaining after smoothing the power supply current and causes current to fluctuate in the focusing coil at a steady state resulting in varying magnetic field strength. SOLUTION: In a power supply circuit which supplies current to the focusing coil, a constant current circuit is added to stabilize the magnetic field generated by the focusing coil when a hot. Moreover, by adding a clamp circuit, the preheating time of the focusing coil at the time of start is made short. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
