PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for taxonomically evaluating microorganisms and proteins, which can execute discriminations in specific microorganism species, disease germ groups and non-disease germ groups, and can also be used for identifying microbial proteins in diagnostic applications. SOLUTION: In the method used for trapping a biological analysis object onto a substrate, ligands to be used are selected from a group comprising heme compounds, siderophores, polysaccharides, and peptides specific for outer membrane proteins, conjugated lipids and the microbial proteins. The ligands are tethered at a distance of at least 15Åfrom the surface of the substrate in order to trap the microorganisms. The biological analyte is selected from the group comprising bacteria, viruses, rickettsiae, protozoa and fungi, and is used for enriching the biological analysis object from an aqueous sample or a medical sample.
