PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and waterproof door latching device allowing easy insertion/removal of a door latching bar with small electric power while preventing the permeation of water. SOLUTION: The door latching device for an electric appliance box door comprises a device box, a cover fitted to the device box, a movable iron core attractive electromagnet having a fixed iron core stored in the device box, a movable iron core reciprocatingly movable in the movable iron core attractive electromagnet, and the door latching bar to be interlocked with the movable iron core. The device box and the cover each have a bearing portion protruded on the side face so that the door latching bar is protruded from the device box in a reciprocatingly movable manner.
