PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a lock case by rationally incorporate each element constituting a lock mechanism in an inner space of the lock case. SOLUTION: In an electric lock for a door, an inner space of the lock case is divided into four spaces by an X-axis passing a horizontal slide shaft of a locking piece and a Y-axis passing a central fixed shaft pivoting a driving piece of an electric locking/unlocking member. A solenoid is horizontally disposed in the first space being an upper or lower space on the front side. In the second space on the operating rod side of the solenoid, a manual unlocking member is disposed, which unlocking member includes a thumb-turn top joint, an operation piece engaged with the thumb-turn top joint, and a locking piece journaled to a fixed axis together with the operation piece to collaborate therewith, and engaged with the other end of a driving piece. In the third space opposite to the manual unlocking member and on the rear wall side, a manual drive member is disposed, which drive member is fitted to a drive hub on the handle side from its outside in a fixing manner and is engaged with the horizontal slide shaft.
