PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a uniform and continuous ultra-thin film of a surface modifying agent on the surface of a plastic molding. SOLUTION: The method of forming the ultra-fine thin film of the surface modifying agent on the surface of the plastic molding is performed by spraying a 1st liquid composed of a solution consisting essentially of the surface modifying agent form mist having uniformized particle diameter on the surface of a material 1 to be treated which is the plastic molding to dot many fine particles of the 1st liquid on the surface, semi-drying the fine particles, spraying a 2nd liquid composed of a solution containing no or a smaller quantity of the essential component of the 1st liquid than that of the 1st liquid on the surface of the material 1 to be treated to form mist having uniformized particle diameter and completely drying the particles.
