PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tomographic imaging unit for medical purpose at a low cost, including a simple and proper structure exclusive for imaging a head part. SOLUTION: The unit includes: a magnet 1 for generating a magnetostatic field to generate a prescribed magnetostatic field space; a gradient magnetic field coil 2 which is arranged at the inner side of the magnet 1, so as to generate a gradient magnetic field in the magnetostatic field space; and a high frequency coil 3 which is arranged at the inner side of the gradient magnetic coil 2, so as to exchange a high frequency magnetic field in a magnetostatic field space.
