PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping mechanism of a bar-shaped cosmetic for making the bar-shaped cosmetic hard to break and hard to fall off. SOLUTION: In the clamping mechanism 10 of the bar-shaped cosmetic, four pawl pieces 12 are provided on the inner peripheral wall 11a of a cartridge cylinder 11, the root part 14a of the bar-shaped cosmetic 14 inside the cartridge cylinder 11 is clamped by the chuck pawl pieces 12, the cartridge cylinder 11 is housed inside a housing container so as to be freely elevated and lowered, and the bar-shaped cosmetic 14 is arranged at a housed position and a projected position by elevating and lowering the cartridge cylinder 11. In the clamping mechanism 10 of the bar-shaped mechanism, a film 15 is wound around the outer peripheral wall of the root part 14a of the bar-shaped cosmetic 14, the outer diameter dimension D1 of the film 15 is formed larger than the outer diameter dimension D2 of the bar-shaped cosmetic 14, and the height dimension H1 of the film 15 is set so as to be at a position lower than the position P where the pawl pieces 12 clamp the bar-shaped cosmetic 14.
