PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to facilitate sealing a gap between an outer housing (22) and a rotor shaft (12). SOLUTION: The rotor shaft (12) includes at least one bucket secured thereon, and the bucket has a flow admission side (50) and a flow exit side (52). The method includes a step of coupling a spill strip (82) having a substantially horizontal contact surface (86) in a gap demarcated between the outer housing (22) and the rotor shaft (12), and a step of coupling a cover to a radially outer tip part of the bucket so that a projecting part extends from a bucket cover (66) to contact the substantially horizontal contact surface of the spill strip.
