PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely specify a storage area at a high-speed, and to efficiently use the storage area as well. SOLUTION: In a plurality of servo frames 11 arranged in the circumferential direction of the storage area 15 with a prescribed interval, there are provided with an index bit storage part 12 for storing, as an index bit, a part of an index pattern for specifying the storage area 15; and a storage area specifying part 21 for specifying the storage area 15 on the basis of the index bit acquired by an index bit acquisition part 31. An index bit train formed by sequentially arranging the index bit stored in each index bit storage part 12 in the plurality of servo frames includes the plurality of index patterns.
