AUTOMATIC TRACKING METHOD OF GOLF SWING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce errors in tracking marks on a golfer and a shaft. SOLUTION: In an automatic tracking method of a golf swing, colored marks M1 to M17 attached to the golfer 15 and a club shaft 11a and reference color information and coordinate data of the marks M1 to M17 are stored in advance with a specific image of pictured swing images as a reference image. Positions of the marks M1 to M17 in a static image and a search areas S1 to S17 which are the areas including estimated mark positions in a static image adjoining the above static image in terms of time are set on the static image. A color range which is allowable as the same color of the reference color information of the marks M1 to M17 is set. In the search areas S1 to S17, an absolute value of difference between a differentiated image which is created by performing differential process with a background image and the reference color information is in the color range, pixels having minimum differences are regarded as the positions of the marks M1 to M17 and coordinate data are acquired and the marks M1 to M17 which move during a swing are automatically tracked.
