PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper edge detection device which can be simply installed and can reduce variation of an installation position among frames, and to provide a recording apparatus equipped with the paper edge detection device. SOLUTION: An installation recess 35A for gripping a paper feed roller shaft 24A, and a foot part 36 extending to a lower case 16 side are set in the paper edge detection device 30. A recess 40 to which the foot part 36 is fitted is formed in the lower case 16. Rotation centering the paper feed roller shaft 24A of the paper edge detection device 30 is regulated by fitting the foot part 36 in the recess 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
