An industrial workstation or item of heavy-duty furniture has e.g. a bench or other device that may be raised or lowered and is supported by a telescopic column. The column consists of two tubes (2, 3), one of which is larger than the other. The telescopic motion is facilitated by roller bearings between the two rubes. In the position of maximum extension there remains an overlap zone between the inner and outer tubes in which several roller bearings are secured by fixtures. |
