<p>A composite material suitable for thermal plastic working, characterized in that it comprises a magnesium (alloy) sheet and, formed on at least one surface thereof, preferably on both the surfaces, a coating film layer comprising a heat-resistant resin having a melting point or a pyrolysis temperature of 150°C or higher; and a magnesium (alloy) plastically worked article produced through plastic working by the use of the composite material. The heat-resistant resin is preferably a polyimide- based thermosetting resin. The use of the composite material allows the forming of a magnesium sheet through thermal plastic working with ease, even when the forming is for manufacturing an article having a complicated shape such as deep drawing or the manufacture of a rib or a boss.</p> |
