PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a disk recording and reproduction device without lowering apparent performance by controlling processing time for synchronous operation and log generation. SOLUTION: In I/O assignment processing, if there is a video input/output cue, a time management part sends it to a data input/output execution part to command the execution of a data input/output. If a video data processing reference time Ta has a redundancy of processing time left, the routine returns to the check on whether or not there are video input/output cues. If no redundancy is left, whether there are metadata input/output cues is checked, and metadata input/output cues are sent sequentially to the input/output execution part to command execution until there is none of them. If there is a non-real-time input/output cue, it is sent to the input/output execution part to command execution, and if an overhead processing reference time Tb has a redundancy of processing time left, the routine returns to the check on whether or not there are non-real-time input/output cues.
