PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus applied to an endoscope or the like, yielding good image quality by preventing unnecessary light with simple constitution, and further realizing the reduction of the number of members and the reduction of assembly cost. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus equipped with an imaging means 11 forming an optical image, and a solid-state imaging device 4 converting the optical image formed by the imaging means to an electrical signal, a light absorbing member B1 having countless columnar structural bodies on its surface is arranged on the optical path of light unnecessary to obtain the optical image by the solid-state imaging device.
