PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating furnace apparatus suitable for producing a carbonaceous sheet having low tensile strength due to a small thickness. SOLUTION: The heating furnace apparatus is provided with a furnace body 2 having a heating means, an exhaust port 26, an inlet part 12 for an oxidized fiber sheet, an outlet part 18 for the carbonaceous sheet, driving rollers 4, 6 and 8, a feed roller 28 for the oxidized fiber sheet, a winding roller 38 for the carbonaceous sheet, detecting sensors 40, 42, 44 and 46 for folded parts and a controlling means for regulating the rotational speed of the feed roller for the oxidized fiber sheet and the winding roller for the carbonaceous sheet according to signals detected with the sensors. The height in the vertical direction of both the folded parts 32 and 36 is regulated to control the contact pressure of the sheet and the driving rollers when the oxidized fiber sheet 30 is fed to the inlet part 12 for the oxidized fiber sheet while forming the folded part 32 and the carbonaceous sheet 34 taken out of the outlet part 18 for the carbonaceous sheet is wound around the winding roller 38 for the carbonaceous sheet while forming the folded part 36.
