PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten dissolving time and to prevent solid matters from depositing on a dissolving tank during dissolving. SOLUTION: In this dissolving method for incineration residue wherein soot and dust discharged from an incineration facility is dissolved in liquid in a dissolving tank, then the liquid in a slurry state is separated into a cake and a filtrate by a dewatering apparatus, the liquid is added to the soot and dust at a preceding stage of supplying the soot and dust to the dissolving tank, and the soot and dust is kneaded or mixed with the liquid.
