APOPTOSIS INDUCER FOR CANCER CELL

摘要

It is clarified that apoptosis is induced and thus cell proliferation is inhibited in various cancer cells by inhibiting the expression of genes WRN, BLM and RecQ1 belonging to the RecQ helicase family. It is considered that a compound inhibiting the expression of a gene of the RecQ helicase family or the function of a RecQ helicase protein has an effect of inducing apoptosis.
