<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance management device for a machine tool that can provide such management as encourages a user to receive maintenance at given intervals even if a machine tool is a used one. <P>SOLUTION: A numerical controller transmits information unique to a controlled machine tool, information unique to a user who uses the machine tool and operation information on the machine tool to a management center via a public communication line, and the management center registers the transmitted information. The management center determines execution timing of maintenance of the machine tool according to the operation information, and notifies the timing to the numerical controller to advise the user about maintenance execution.
