PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably protect broadcast contents being stored in a receiver side, from unapproved copy or wrong use use in server type broadcasting.

SOLUTION: A content is sent from a broadcast sending side in such a state that copyright information of the content is added to the content. On a receiving client side coping with server type digital broadcasting, proper control for reproducing of the content and reservation for recording can be performed on the basis of copyright information of the content such as a frequency in reproducing of the content, restrictions on display resolution at the time of reproducing the content, and an available period of reproducing of the content. Detailed control for a display device incorporated in or connected to a receiver is made with this copyright information.
